I was in need of a Gastroenologist so my primary care doctor referred me to Dr. Sunitha Pudhota. Her nurse, Candace, was able to get me an appointment quickly and after meeting with Dr. Pudhota I knew I was in the best care. She listened intently to my history and was proactive in diagnosing my symptoms. She and her nurse were so very kind and compassionate and such a blessing! Dr. Pudhota treated me with excellence and i would highly recommend her!

She is an excellent physician with a great bedside manner. She has great empathy and knowledge. She listens to my complaints and explains the condition in detail. She also checked if i had any further questions.I believe a lot of this online rating is false and scam like as she is a totally down to earth and easy to approach.

I was a little skeptical when i was about to see the doctor after reading online reviews recently but was greatly pleased with her concern for my colitis. She has a vast experience in colitis and listens to me patiently. She spent over 45 mins explaining and her staff is excellent.I would recommend her to my friends and family.

Doctor did not review records sent over from another doctor as part of assessing my mother's condition. Doctor rudely suggested that my mother's weight loss was due to her not eating, which was not the case. Doctor did not even bother to show up at the follow up appnt, after a procedure that yielded no answers, to discuss next steps. My mother passed away three days after that appnt. This doctor did not appear to care at all about the patient.

Business response:

Patient was likely not under my care as i would not just NOT show up on follow up visit.

I went to Dr Pudhota after many years of the same stomach problems, She is a excellent Dr. However her bedside manner does need improvement!! And her Staff is horrible, they do not turn in needed papers or give you the results to test I had to do all that myself, Many Hospital visits and time off for nothing as the paper work not turned in or correct staff errrors .

Dr. Pudhota was semi-personable, but was not attentive or appropriately responsive to my needs as the patient. I spent 5 minutes trying to explain my symptoms, only to be repeatedly cut off, talked over, and overall ignored. After 10 minutes she gave a diagnosis that only explained one of my symptoms, the one of least concern, and the medication she prescribed made the other symptoms worse. On top of that, her office is impossible to get a hold of and her appointments are only on Tuesdays.

Dr. Pudhota is a one of a kind gastroenterologist. I had been experiencing severe abdominal pain for several months and had a colonoscopy scheduled with a different provider in November of 2015. I put it off, since I don’t know of one person who wants to go thru that procedure and didn’t care for the GI doctor. I met Dr. Pudhota in early April and she actually took the time to talk with me. Usually doctors are in and out in less than 5 minutes. Dr. Pudhota spent about 15 minutes with me,

After reading the reviews, I went into my appointment very skeptical and ready to be very disappointed but I was pleasantly surprised. Dr Pudhota was really nice. She didn't rush through my exam. She explained my plan of care completely and gave several recommendations regarding treating my GI problems.

I am lucky to have found her, and she is very empathetic. I can tell, she herself is a survivor and is very detail oriented about the patient's care and sometimes goes above and beyond to understand and care for the GERD and PAIN I am going through. Really luck to have found her.
