Absolutely. We were very pleased with Dr Challa. She was always on top of the situation.
Dr. Challagundla is very professional on her treatment for her patients, however, the staff at the center makes very difficult the communication on a timely fashion. Since my journey with cancer started, every time I’ve needed to communicate an issue that needs to be taken care expeditiously, it consistently takes more than a week to get resolved, sometimes ending on me going to the hospital without going through the protocols I was instructed to follow. Dr. Challa cares about her patients. She will stop what she is doing to make a necessary phone call or to make sure your care is not stuck someplace in the bureaucracy. She is great. Expert and knowledgeable healthcare. She knows her field.
I’d rather visit with the PAs than Dr. Challa. They listen and take their time with me. They review lab results with me. They check my legs for swelling and ask if I am having any pain. Dr Challa rushes through the visit and when I ask a question she cuts me off and speaks louder. I feel like she gets upset when I question things. I always have to remind her that I need to have a urine test done so that my medication can be ordered. I’m really thinking about finding another doctor.
She obviously knows what she is doing. We've had great results. She seems irritated though when we ask questions for clarification or she needs to repeat something she's told us a year ago.
Visits feel a little rushed. Don’t really feel like she’s listening to what you have to say.
