The Jefferson is a beautiful hotel. It is also absolutely stunning, with an incredible lobby and rotunda that have stained glass ceilings and are in the style of the "winter gardens" one finds at such places as Biltmore. The hotel is very large, which it uses to its advantage. I booked a suite. It's not the largest of the various suites offered at The Jefferson, but offers an entryway with a small bar to one side, containing the mini-fridge, and a half bath on the other side. Amazing service, attention to the finest detail, and opulent yet somehow cozy atmosphere make the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond an experience that's more than just a luxurious place to stay. Spacious newly remodeled rooms make this historic hotel a functional and asteticly pleasing paradise fit for a president. Would recommend to anyone looking for very upscale accomadatons in Richmond.

I was invited to an afternoon tea. It was bridal tea, to be more specific, and it was my first time at the Jefferson. All I could say was "Wow." The interior is stately, rich and elegant with a huge stained glass rotunda, large marble pillars and an impressive staircase. The tea service, itself, was about what you'd expect: delicious tea and a colorful variety of sweet and savory finger foods.
