Check out ALL Sun Communities complaints on BBB. I am not surprised after my dismal experience. A Zoom was scheduled with a recruiter and I was sent a link. I waited & waited and no one showed up. (This happened twice, so off to a bad start on their part) I contacted Corporate who surprising admitted to me 'we've had issues with those two recruiters' and they interviewed me themselves disclosing it was a 'requirement for Community Managers to live onsite in company provided housing of which utilities were paid by the company... read more
I am interested in the legal issues....that Sun Communities policies and or practices evoke. How can they mandate that I must use Spectrum as a carrier of my cable service ect? When billing residents for water, I believe they inflate the numbers to increase the bottom line. The water bills always show the same amount of gallons used as also going to the sewer system and you are billed for both in/out. My park made me get rid of my emotional support dog in one day with no warning or reports filed against her. I was told if I didn’t it would be turned over to the lawyers and that I would be evicted. I believe that is a threat and isn’t it illegal to do that? I was not given any paperwork or anybody in the company to talk to I am sooo sad. I would not live here if I didn’t have to.
There is something very shady about Sun community. I found a manufactured home. In one of their parks. In Clinton two, MI I filled out the application for the back ground check. One for my spouse. One for myself. A total of $60. We both have excellent credit. My income is 4000 a month. My spouse is on unemployment, ($1,500 a month) but does have a return work date. Academy West-Point (Canton) denied me back in June for having a “low” FICO and credit score when both scores are decent enough for at least QUALIFY (700 + and only going up). They were also extremely rude when I called them on the phone when I was interested in their community! I’ve recently been working with CreekWood in Burton and I regret it all! They really suck at customer service!Manager and staff are nothing but liars!Vender comes to work on bathtub,doesnt want to do the job right.I tell him thats fine,that I would call someone to do the job right.He then gets on phone and then does it right.Moves things that belong to you without permission. Hit me with a late fee for $40 while I was sick with COVID-2019 and under isolation because it took time for me to transfer money to another person electronically then have that uninfected person drop off a money order. Absolutely cartoon-villain levels of greed with these clowns.
This company is very crooked they charged me for 2 months when i wasnt there... And they screwed me out of my deposit... [740.00 and 591.00] i moved out of there in june 14th and they charged me for july and augest.. if i knew that was going to happen they wouldnt have gottin it....So if you think your getting anymore money like 337.00 it anit going to happen.....
Sun communities are not to be trusted it's all about the money not the people
