Summit community association is a rip off. They sent me a letter saying they sent my violations and fines to the lawyers bc it wasn't being paid. They never sent any notices saying the shutters needed to be painted and then charged late fees for shutters not being painted. They also charge shutter fees 10x. There isn't even that many shutters on the house. The fines accrued over $3000. Do you know if that is even legal??? If I would have known I would have sold my house a long time ago. The association seems to focus on things that do not cause property value to decrease. The members (older retired men, specifically covenants committee) are set in their ways with made up minds. I have lived here for 13 years and never have I felt so harassed than now.
It seems like all the complaints are towards the African Americans. They only focus on the Summitt Parkway. People walk their pets and let the cramp on your property. Even Lake Carolina allow storage units and yard sales. They cut the limbs other side of the wall that faces the street but leave the others. I really hate we brought a house in the Summitt. I know I am not the only one that feel this way.
