I just wanted to say, that having been a patient now twice on the 3rd floor of this hospital it was a joy. What an incredible experience and comfort to have such wonderful nurses and Dr. Sidney is the best. The staff in the CRPU are so absolutely wonderful. 5 stars for this unit and the 3rd floor is not enough. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in the ER staff, even though I know they are grossly overworked. Do not go here unless you are looking for a $3,000.00 bill for 45 minutes of service and an EKG. I am at a loss of words. I found out from a medical malpractice attorney that emergency centers that are new will charge more due to trying to offset operating expenses. It is a shame that the American healthcare system is this corrupt.

Dolly H. Lee County, SC 01 11/17/2022 My fiance went in on November 19, 2020 for a simple procedure to place stents, day surgery. He got there a11:00 am. His surgery was scheduled for 1:00 pm and should have lasted an hour. His niece was waiting in the parking lot because of covid.They had her number and was suppose to call her and keep her updated. I truly hate even giving them one star They refused to help my daughter who has multiple organ failure and has dialysis every week. She tried to make it in Florida and had to move back in 3 weeks and couldn't go back to Florida for dialysis the ER told her to go back to Florida for dialysis and turned her a ay with her face so swollen her eyes were swelled shut. They are horrible evil people that will let someone die. THE WORST HOSPITAL IVE HEARD OF IN OVER 50 YEARS!!!

I received superior care in the emergency department. Nurses and techs were top notch. It was clean. The doctor explained everything. I received medications while there and even got a prescription for when I went home.

I had the most horrible experience, because of a nurse named Julie. I was seen in the emergency room at about midnight. She had to give me shot and she had a total attitude! !! :( made me cry

I transported my fiance to summerville medical center ER on 2/14/17 due to sharp, sudden onset of a headache that he rated as 10/10 pain. His pupils were constricted and speech was slurred. Blood pressure was 170/100. When we arrived, he couldn't walk and I had to transfer him to a wheelchair and push him inside. I explained to the emergency room staff what was going on and they insisted on checking him in before allowing a doctor to assess him. I was understanding of this. My husband was so sick for over 6 weeks, every time he would eat something he would bring it back up. He had nothing to eat for over 6 weeks. I took him to summerville Medical four different times and all they would do is give him nausea medicine and send him home. No fluids or anything. I then took him on a Thursday night because he was so dehydrated and in pain and they sent him home once again with a nausea medicine, pain medicine and gave him some fluids this time.
