I don't know where Summer Dental in Shawnee, Oklahoma, got good reviews, but I can tell you the truth, and that is that first of all they pulled the wrong tooth for an extraction. I went back and they pulled the right one and I made a special point of emphasizing that I wasn't given any pain medication.. it's 8:32PM still no pain prescription called in to Walgreens here in Shawnee... I had the 2 extractions done before 2 The receptionist did not, and was not going to relate my message to the manager, untill I showed back up ... read more
I forgave the first visit when the young male dentist capped my tooth with only 1/2 a tooth causing great pain for months! I felt that this was totally wrong and even after coming back due to intense pain they slapped a numbing solution on the bare tooth and tried to shove me away, it didn't work. I had to demand they either pull it or cover the entire tooth with the cap. I switched to the Wednesday only dentist, supposedly better, to fix the problem. Dr. Broadbent has been my first dentist that I found to have done excellent work. I am so sad to have found out that he is now only training new grads instead of treating patients.

They worked me in very quickly. However after having a massive tooth pulled they didn’t prescribe anything for pain. I asked the doctor and he told me to continue using Tylenol and ibuprofen he said because it’s cheaper. I informed him I have good insurance and my prescriptions are usually free. He told me to buy more advil and Tylenol which IS NOT cheaper for me. I have a feeling if I was a middle class white women he would have given me whatever I needed to be comfortable.
