Tasty food, bad service – I went to Sum Yum Gai for the first time and had an interesting but not entirely positive experience. I received a coupon in the “Best of South Beach Hometown Magazine” for a buy one entree, get one 1/2 price at Sum Yum Gai. Excellent choice for Chinese food! – I usually order take-out here for lunch a couple times a week and I'll keep coming back. They have about 20 different lunch and dinner combos to choose from I've tried almost all! The food is tastey, big portions and very reasonably priced! Whenever I order lunch for take-out by the time I leave my office and get there within 10 minutes the food is already waiting for me. I recommend this spot but beware of double parking outside when you go pick up the food (they have delivery too).

Best Fast Food Chinese on South Beach – I recently moved from San Francisco, where great Chinese food was in abundance. Until now I had yet to find a great take out/delivery Chinese place. Have enjoyed every dish I have eaten here.

Don't waste your time! – This place was recommend to us upon arriving here. We thought the name was funny and saw it while driving by and stopped in. The service wasn't too bad...wasn't impressive that's for sure! The girls that work there are cute. The food is less than memorable. My husband actually says emphatically "it $ucks!" Best Chinese south of New York – Having spent time in China, I can say American Chinese is not the same. Having said that there are a few places is the states where the food resembles what you would find in China. South of New York, this is the place for you. Considering the fact that on Miami Beach there are a limited number of Chinese restaurants availabe, this one stands out. I highly recommend it and when in Miami, I would return!

Horrible ! – I have no idea why anyone would ever say the food was even good ! What were they thinking ? The food was terrible, i ordered Shrimp Pan fried noodles, the shrimp was over cooked, the noodles was drenched in oyster sauce ! Now i may be Asian and have higher standards than most eating Chinese food but i rather would of eaten at a street vendor. I noticed there was not one Asian person at the desk or as a waitor/waitress so which means an Asian person was NOT even in the kitcken ! Horrible and way over priced - don... read more

Sum Yum Fun – Sum Yum Gai is one of my favorite places for a casual, fun meal in South Beach. The atmosphere is great for chowing with friends, and the food is always very good and the menu is fun. It's not on the most attractive block of the Beach...but if it were it would cost 5 times more.
