Great hotel!!! This hotel has great amenities and an amazingly friendly staff. There is a sizable gym, whirlpool, and even a tanning bed (although it is in the basement) it is nice for a hotel. The rooms are large with large bathrooms. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There is a small martini bar in the lobby and cookies daily for you to enjoy when you get back from a long day.The only down falls to this hotel was that there is no food on-site and if you are staying over a weekend nearly all of downtown Des Moines is... read more
Suites Of 800 Locust is a great getaway My husband and I stayed here for a special getaway. The staff helped him surpise me with rose petals in the room and champagne. We loved the fireplace in the room. The lounge was rockin' with good music and we and really enjoyed the chef made omelettes in the morning. We hope to stay there again soon! Also great walking distance to many downtown attractions.
