RecommendedMy husband and I lived at Sugarloaf for the duration of my PhD at UMass Amherst, and we loved it here! Our move-in was extremely easy, and whenever we had issues, maintenance was always there within the day. We became close friends with our maintenance worker, who was always kind and professional. I wish I didn’t even have to give this place one star. Can’t wait to get away from this place.
I’ve lived here since 2014 and have most enjoyed the convenience of my location and access to the PVTA bus which runs through the community every 15 minutes. I highly recommend this community to young professionals who also work in the Amherst area!
I just moved into Sugarloaf this month and the whole process was extremely easy! I share an apartment with 3 other girls and there is enough storage space between the closets and pantry for all of our belongings. The fitness center is super convenient and the whole area is great to walk around. Kellie and Ellie in the office were there to help me every step of the way!
Cheap, so that's a plus. Snow removal process is absurd. Washing machine was a piece of crap and ventilated into one of the bedroom closets, pushing hot damp air onto clothing. Our bathroom ceiling flooded twice. The bathroom exhaust fan was hardly functional leaving the apartment damp and the bathroom moldy. Very little communication and lack of transparency in move out/security deposit exchange. Maintenance guys were all really nice people, unfortunately we had to see them way too often. Well currently I am posting this on my data because my internet has vanished from my Comcast package. Additionally, they update nothing and do quick fixes to save money only. My carpet is falling apart and my kitchen drawers are barely hanging on. They show you the model apartment to make you think the apartments are all nice, but mine is old and out of date and won't be updated till I leave. I have been living here for a few years now and have decided leave this year. I have had a great time living here and really enjoyed having the pool so close. My new house doesn't have one yet so I may just have to come back for a visit ;)
