They did not explain clearly the choices we can have for a crown that will give us the maximum benefit from the insurance. Instead, an estimate was given for an upgraded crown which is not the contracted one that would have been covered at 80%. The difference in out of pocket expense between the two (BRUXZIRCROWN POST and CROWN PORC POST) is about $600 with my Delta dental DPO insurance. We came in for a regular cleaning and the insurance will pay for regular cleaning. The staff "counseled" us and provided a proposal $14000. When we refused the pro regular cleaning, they asked us to sign a "waiver" to say that they are not responsible for our teeth. Then, a "heavy set dental hygienist" took 5 minutes to clean the teeth. His habits were disgusting. He used one glove for everything. This place is nothing more than a used car dealership. There are choices in sugar land area. When all your kids return from the dentist happy and telling you how great the new dentist is, it’s a beautiful thing. Dr. Hathaway is wonderful. Thorough. Explains everything very well. I can’t say enough good things about him and the team of professionals there.

When one thinks about going to have any dental work completed, there is perhaps a minimal amount of fear as one anticipates that any and all procedures will be painful. The entire office staff at Sugar Land Dental is so inviting and assuring with patience/clients that any and all fear one may experience, soon dissipates after being attended to by these professionals. They also do great work. I highly recommend them as they will make your trip to the dentist as enjoyable as an event such as this can possibly be.
