After our child’s last doctor left the area, Dr. Madapoosi was suggested to my husband and me for the needs of our adolescent child. Dr. Madapoosi was very engaging and easy for our child to talk to during the first online appointment. He was prompt with the appointment time. He was very thorough and we didn’t feel rushed. We were pleased with his kind personality and great sense of humor. Although there were no issues with the last doctor, we feel even more comfortable with this new doctor.
Other parents have pretty much summed up this guy. He has zero interest in actually helping our children. Seeing him will make your child worse, NOT better!
Good intentions, however very unprofessional and values his pride over patient care. He added to my child’s list of adverse childhood experiences. I would encourage families to keep looking if you are thinking of letting Sudhakumar Madapoosi, MD care for your child. He does not handle stressful family situations well and becomes deregulated easily. The Medowlands staff are kind and efficient.
WARNING!! Do not see this Dr. This is the worst person to see for any mental health issue! He is absolutely out of touch with the situation that he's presented with. Has NO bed side manner, didnt even listen to our child tell his struggles, and barely lifts his head up from the iPad he's constantly on. If I could give this doctor zero stars I would. My daughter was referred to him through Crisis Intervention at York Hospital. He had ZERO empathy for my child and the severe depression, mood swings, and suicidal thoughts she has been having. I tried to provide him information on what I had been witnessing as far as my daughter’s mood and mental health, and he literally told me to be quiet and let my daughter answer the questions when we she had a virtual visit with him two days ago.
