Dr. Patel knows his stuff. I found him during a bad TMD flare-up. He quickly evaluated my jaw and ordered an appliance that has greatly reduced or eliminated my joint pain, and I'm only a couple weeks into treatment.
I was referred to Dr. Patel of the Suburban TMJ and Sleep Center by my dentist because of suspected TMJ. Dr. Patel and his entire staff were absolutely wonderful! Dr. Patel listened intently to my symptoms and was very thorough in correctly diagnosing me with an injury to the sternocleidomastoid muscle (SCM), which often mimics TMJ. Very friendly staff and the Dr. Knows how to properly treat TMJ.
I have been dealing with jaw pain, jaw popping, headaches, and jaw clenching which caused my to crack a tooth. My dentist fixed my tooth with a crown and gave me a night guard. My doctor was providing me medication for pain management. All of this has been going on for several years. I met with Dr. Patel and his staff and he set me up with an appliance.
