My visit was very frustrating. I waited at least 45 min. I used to get my blood test done just before seeing theDr.and he would go through the results at the visit. This time I had to get the blood test after my visit, which left nothing much to discuss with the Dr. I had to wait another 20 min. after seeing the Dr. to get my blood test done and couldn’t get the results. This was my worst visit with Dr. Rao. Alpha Med was always very efficient and his office is now chaos.
Dr. Rao is an excellent physician. He listens to your needs and explains everything clearly. He has an excellent bedside manner, and I would recommend him to anyone.
Dr Rao for over 20 years.As an oncology nurse at Palos hospital I was aware of Dr Rao’s tender care so I ended up with need of an oncologist and I knew he was the only one I wanted.I am probably one of few patients that looks forward to my Dr visits.A cancer diagnosis is frightening but have a kind,gentle and knowledgeable doctor is a gift.I will follow him any where he goes and have several friends that are under his care and we all feel the same.
I came to Dr Rao for high platlets and low iron. First visit he did blood work and set me up for iron transfusion. Once completed that I need to be prescribed medications. I was seen every two weeks to monitor my levels and after great care and knowledge my platelets are at a normal range and I can do follow ups every 3 months now. Great bed side manner, his staff is great. I saw the P.A. Mathew a few times and he is great. Would highly recommend.
I learn more about my health when I see DR. Rao. He explains things to me that i easily understand.

Dr. Rao has been treating me for the last 3 1/2 years. He has always been ahead of my treatment when it was not working he had a plan to go to. Very compassionate and knowledgeable. He pays attention to your needs & concerns. His staff is awesome, they make you feel comfortable and listen to what you're saying. I would certainly recommend anyone to Dr Rao & his staff.
