I had a verbal discussion with the service tech that the work I needed to have done would be ~$2k. I specifically asked about the engine needing to be touched and if it would be a good time to replace spark plugs, and was told 'no'. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I was hit with a $10k bill. Turns out they did in-fact pull apart the engine.
