Spanish guy here who adopted my daughter. I had no idea on how to care for her hair. They not only they braided her hair but also taught me the ins and outs of hair prep and care. I would be lost without them.
The stylists are very knowledgeable and willing to help overwhelmed parents with hair care. They actually teach classes so parents know how to care for hair. Our child had damaged hair when we started working with Tameika. It is not just a salon, but also a welcoming community. Our child goes between flattening and braiding with stylists excellent with both styles.
The world wouldn’t be the same without the unconditional and relentless efforts Styles 4 Kids do for such a vulnerable population. Everyone involved including the donors may have their personal reasons for putting in the work but I’m sure we can all agree that it is about the children being given the opportunity to just be kids in a world that is slowly robbing that opportunity from them.
