A Barista's POV – As a barista from Seattle, the few times I do come down to Portland I make a trip to Stumptown to fill my caffeine cravings. It's unfortunate to always see Starbucks as an audience pick when there are other independents who do a better job of coffee - support your local businesses and local baristas...they're the ones that really care about what they do.
Yum! French Pressed house blend – The only time a stopped by a stumptown coffee I was so surprised that they french pressed their house blend. The best java in a "to go" cup that I have ever had!
Heaven in a Cup – Finding Stumptown was the worst thing that could have happened for my trying to give up caffenine. The coffee is amazing, their staff is very capable and those ceiling fans are great!!
Holy She-ougt – I happy to move next to this place. I recently moved to South East Pdx and was worried about where I was getting my cup-of-Joe. I have been in Portland for about 8 years and this has to be some of the best coffee.
Best coffee ever – No one in the northwest roasts coffee like Stumptown does. Just smelling this coffee can wake you up. I'm ashamed that Porltanders have ranked Starbucks number one.
deeeeelicious! – This place rocks. I love the simple look with unique artwork. As for the coffee; it's the best! I routinely drive all the way from Beaverton to get this stuff.
The ONLY coffee in Portland – I'm pretty dissapointed with the general public for ranking Starbucks as the best coffee in Portland. I should know coffee, I worked in upper management with Starbucks for 4 years. They DO NOT have the best coffee. Stumptown has THE very best coffee in the world as far as I am concerned. (Not to metion they are not a giant evil corrupt corporation that doesn't deserve our money!!)
One of the Best! – Well, I definitely have to say that I am a coffee conosseiur and I love my coffee. Stumptown is by far one of my top-three picks of coffee places!! The coffee has a great smooth taste to it. Atmosphere pretty cool (kind of a funky place) and people are pretty friendly.
The cup i was looking for... – I have been looking for the cup that got away for a while and finally found it.
