Proceed with extreme caution. We bought and had installed wool carpet for our master suite. It has never laid flat on the seams. The installer asked for several months time to get it to settle down. Eight months later there is still a room-wide bulge. They have agreed to try a steam technique. We shall see. The installer grumbled about the carpet being so thick as he carried it into our house.
