One of Durham's Best – I have been coming to this salon for over 5 years. There is stability with designers, with the owner, they know how to create excellent cuts and styles, there is something reassuring about coming here KNOWING full well you will get customer satisfaction, as well as a great cut and excellent color. On occasion I have attempted to 'try' another place just to 'see' what they'd do and never have I felt as well taken care of as I do at Studio K, and I am always satisfied. Mandy is the best! – I went to Mandy after a botched haircut and horrible color that turned my hair yellow. I didn't even want to go out in public. Mandy very carefully matched up my real, normal color and in just a little while, I left feeling like me again. It was just wonderful. Two weeks later, it still is wonderful---the small amount of fading (which she told me to expect) has improved the color. Definitely a good experience and a great stylist.

Sarah really knows her hair color and how to cut hair. – Sarah had been coloring and styling my daughter's hair for quite a while. She also had cut my stepdaughters hair last year when she was visiting from NJ. A fantastic short cut. I was going to another salon getting blond highlights . First time I get highlights and GREAT service! – MANDY was wonderful. I'm turning 30 and never colored my hair before. Wanted something fun and different with cut and color - but didn't know what. Never experienced "lift" levels or picking out colors, etc. Mandy was very patient and put together a plan for me once she gathered what it was that I wanted. Excellent Salon – This salon is always busy! I have been coming now for over 8 years, and never have I had to worry about the end result of my hair. I have a very unusual red tone that I love to have in my hair,get compliments ALL THE TIME and people ask me when ever I go out where I get my color and cut done. I am thrilled with this salon and I always feel like I have been well taken care of. Great staff, great people, excellent work ! Have had many different variations of my hair style and each one has been a HIT!

Interesting Concept.... – What I like best about this salon is it is not fake. Some salons and their atmospheres create an uneasiness with me. I feel I am either in a place I need to run from the chair before the person pulls out the scissors out of fear, and some I feel like I am being TOLD what is going to happen to my hair rather than paying for a service. I really appreciate the ladies at this salon consult, talk back and forth with me, and then cut when we are totally settled. Same with color. I am very comfortable here... read more

Frustration is over – So this salon is worth my drive to Durham area. I heard about this salon and wanted to see for myself. I happened to have a appointment with Mandy. I really didn't know who to ask for. The receptionist told me they were all wonderful hair stylists. I agree! This place is BUSY! Wow....and Mandy not only takes plenty of time to talk to me, to consult, to understand my hair, she had awesome suggestions for something new! I am sold. Great salon. It is worth the drive and I will come again and again!

GREAT SALON!! – When I first came to Studio K Salon, my hair was a mess. I needed color help, damage help, and a new haircut to replace the hack job i had gotten at another salon. Thanks to Melissa, I get daily compliments on my hair. She has completely turned my hair around! I LOVE the color and the cut and my hair is healthier than it has ever been!

Excellent services and knowledge – This salon ROCKS! I love the designers, their attitudes, and the atmosphere here! No fake necessity, they all know what they are talking about! Love this salon!
