Went for the fried clam dinner; settled for fish and chips. The batter was soggy. The fish was okay, not great. I was born and brought up in New Hampshire, went to the diner based on a TV show review while visiting family in San Diego. When we got there it looked closed. Weeds growing in the parking lot. What a great place to eat! So tired from my day at Sea World and wanted someplace different to eat instead of those chain restaurants by Mission Valley. Since this one was closer to my hotel by Kearney, this was the obvious choice. The food was awesome. I had the pot roast which was the perfect comfort food after a long day. Our server was great too. Im never going back. That latin shift supervisor/waitress gave us the worst service ever. I have never waited so long for everything, maybe she should not be a waitress as well. She had 1/3 tables of the other two waitress and was slower than molasses. Ordered appetizers and two meals. Well she brought everything at the same time, well not her another waitress cause ours was MIA. Refills? again had to ask one of the other waitresses. What's the point of having tasty food if the service is horrendous.
