DO NOT go here. I had a doctor actually tell me he didn’t care about my mental health. The staff is not pleasant and act like you being there is an inconvenience. This is the worst place I have ever received health care.
Got bitten by a tick, went there WITH the tick, the doctor sent my blood sample to be tested for HERPES and I was charged 450$ not covered by the student health insurance. I saw the same doctor several times over the past four years, he loooooves ordering extra (or irrelevant) exams. He gave a cream that was supposed to heal a sore in my nose. Wish there was an option for zero stars. My friend got a "free" MMR shot that made her so sick that she nearly died. Her doctor compared it to playing "Russian Roulette".
Waited over an hour and a half to be seen (because they forgot to actually check me in)
Refused to let mother in with pt when pt requested, mom drove 2 hours! Learn about pt centered care!!!!
Every time I walk in, I'm greeted with a smile no matter how awful I look and feel. Gary Upton, my primary at the SHC since coming to college has been incredibly important to me keeping my health in line and has kept me on course. Cares about more than just my physical health, checks in on me and all patients mentally and emotionally... Making sure we're handling school well and getting through life. Highly recommend students taking advantage of this service!
