RecommendedOur son was riding pedals at 2 years old because of his strider! He races his strider at the BMX track in Sarasota! It is so much fun to watch him learn and grow on these bikes.
Bought our son a strider at 18 months and he just had such a love for it. So when they came out with 14x we upgraded. After a little time on it striding he built the confidence to put the pedals on and just took off! I would recommend a strider to anyone! The amount of confidence he has riding a bike at 3 is amazing. Already going down dirt trails with no fear.

My boys both utilized Striders and seamlessly made the transition from balance bike to pedal bike within minutes once ready to make the transition, no training wheels utilized. The customer service from Strider is phenomenal.
We got the 14x for our son after having a balance bike for a year. After a couple weeks this summer, we decided to put on the pedals and are glad we did. Our 3 year old takes off and rides on his own and never used training wheels!
Bought my son a strider bike for his 2nd birthday (2/1/18) and purchased a 14” pedal bike a year later. He can ride on his own (no training wheels) after only 3 attempts tonight (5/16/19)-a little over a year later at 3 years and 3.5 months old. He only used the training wheels for one month. Strider bike definitely worked!!
