Took bike in to have the back tire tightened and a kick stand put on. Week later was told it was ready, the kick stand was never put on. They're unreliable and my bike wasn't even properly locked up.

what do you expect? – At first I was a bit hesitant to speak to manny. He has a mean look , but shortly into our conversation I realized he was a sweet and caring person. To be extremely honest i know nothing about bikes , i was worried he would tell me a million things were wrong with my bike and charge me a ton of money ( I did not have). I had gone to several other places were the said i needed about 200 dollares worth of fixing , I felt as though because i was a clueless women (when it came to bikes) they wanted to make ... read more

Got the run around – I returned several days in a row for a part he said would take overnight. He became more rude each day and I never could figure out why. I went elsewhere for my part.

Mannys' is needed – My mountain bike needed a tune up , I spoke to a long time friend ( a local of venice) Manny's Lowrider bike shop was recommend . First let me start by saying that , the shop was as busy as a lemonade stand on a hot afternoon. Manny is a warming and very helpful person , and extremely generous. There was a waiting period for service but well worth it. Manny said it would take 4 days , then I would be able to pick up my bike. I came back after four days and my bike was ready. I also bought a lock at the ti... read more

Thought I would support my local bike shop... never again after this experience... took bike #1, beater mountain bike, was told it would be ready in 2 days... took 3 weeks, was never called after checking at least 4 times in person and told repeatedly he would "call me tomorrow". Then it wasn't fixed properly, had to go back, brake cables not tightened, derailleur not shifting properly. While I was waiting for bike # 1 to be fixed I brought in another bike, it needed a basic overhaul, it's been there a month now, he replaced... read more

Manny's rocks! – Manny must live in the shop because he is ALWAYS there. The staff is very friendly and Manny is always willing to help. I have bought my bike's accessories here and Manny always mounts them on my bike for me, free of charge. They have an great selection of cruisers, both new and old and there's always an eclectic mix of characters hanging out. Manny's is also great for Burning Man bike purchases and his rates are WAY more competitive than the trendier bike shops in the neighborhood.
