The ORIGINAL Skate Shop Est. 1887 Strauss Skates and Bicycles has been family owned and serving the St. Paul community since 1887. We are the oldest skate shop, and very likely sporting goods store, in the country.

RecommendedAmazing customer service! I have extremely wide feet and was looking to buy a new pair of skates to replace the pair I bought at Strauss 12 years ago. We went through 6-7 pairs of new skates before settling on putting new TUUKS on my old skates being my best option. Unreal service! I have played and coached hockey, my wife figure skates and coached skating and Strauss is the only place we will go.

We have been coming to Strauss Skates for a few years now from Iowa to sharpen figure skates. Always a great and timely service.
My parents brought me here as a kid for several pairs of skates. I now live in the Forest Lake are & took my girls there 2 days before Christmas & received the same great service my parents did so many years ago. Thank you Strauss!
They immediately diagnosed the issue with my bike tire and fixed it quickly. They know what they're doing and were very helpful. Prices were extremely reasonable too!
Hands down the best shop around. All of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I never go anywhere else for my hockey needs nor do I go anywhere else for my sharpening needs. If you don’t exclusively use Strauss, I highly suggest you make the switch. None better in the business!
