The ORIGINAL Skate Shop Est. 1887 Strauss Skates and Bicycles has been family owned and serving the St. Paul community since 1887. We are the oldest skate shop, and very likely sporting goods store, in the country.

These are great people, who know what they are doing! I won't be going anywhere else for any of my bike, rollerblade, or skate needs!
Excellent! Strauss is great place to get ice skates or bike and everything related to either of them. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and might even know your brother or sister if you've played hockey. Since it's local place, the staff members might even know you or have people in common since most of them have lots of experience with hockey. They are very reasonably priced and I would definitely recommend this place!
Great mom and pop shop! I bought a new bike from Strauss and was surprised at how reasonable the prices were and how helpful the service was. I expected them to up sell or intimidate like Eriks but they were honest and real and let me test ride several bikes before I found the right one. Definitely recommend them to anyone needed a good new bike. I also had them tune up my husbands bike and they got it done the same day! Great old Mom and Pop shop.
Top notch service A+ My son started hockey this past year and we went to Strauss to get some used skates. They had a great selection and the staff was incredibly helpful in assisting us with what we needed. We've been back plenty of times through the season and their service is always wonderful.
