Strano & Associates Realtors is NOT reputable. When we rented our house it did not have a bathroom door. We were promise one and after signing the lease they said we didn't need one. Never made any repairs and lied to us then kept most of our security deposit after we turned the house over to them in MUCH better condition than we took it.
Stay away from Strano I wish I could give this company a negative 10 Stars! Strano is the Worst!!! Property Management around. They will always try to find some way to keep your deposit. I rented a house from them about a year ago and when I moved out, they charged me $70 dollors to re-clean the blinds that I had to buy in the first place because they didn't have any when I moved in. They also require you to have the carpets cleaned when you move out, which I did, but they still ended up keeping most of my deposit because th... read more
TERRIBLE! How about NO stars!!? We are in the beginning stages of renting a house with Strano Property Management. (Aug 2008) I should have listened to my gut insticts about this company and the way they "Manage" their properties because they are MISERABLE! The major mistake I made in dealing with them is that the house we are renting is DIRTY! I "assumed" that they would clean the bathrooms, kitchen, paint, and make minor repairs. Just say NO to straNO! I should have known it was too good to be true! I have rented my house through Stano for 4 years thinking that there were no major problems. Now when it come time to sell (which is another whole disaster) the problems keep creeping up . First my tenants have been smoking in the house! Any repercussions from Strano, nope. Keep Looking - Don't go with Strano I wish you could choose no stars. However the one star I am giving goes towards the acting/scam job pulled on me by the personnel with Strano. I rented a townhouse from them. When I viewed the property, it looked like the feds had just broken down the door in a major drug bust. I was out of time to keep looking and was already living on a friend's couch. Worst. Rental Agency. EVER. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had been chasing down nice rental duplexes in this one neighborhood, the one I'm currently living in (Significant other and I of 8 year relationship separated) so I found this place online through the Base Housing Authority (Scott Air Force Base) that Strano has listed everywhere online too. Just say NO to StraNO Back in 2010 I moved to the Scott AFB, IL area, & found the “Property Management†section managed by Linda Linder. I found a house near the base, called them, looked at it, and went to sign the lease. I did negotiate a better price for a 3-year lease; big mistake. I was kind of suspicious about this lease; there were things I’ve never seen before/I have rented apts in Germany & Charleston, SC prior to this; they want you to pay for any (wear) damage $50 or less. I rented a home from Strano from Dec 8, 2014 until Sep 30, 2018. If you want a Property Manager who will give little to no response to calls and emails, Strano is the one for you. If you want someone who will not follow repairs through to completeness, again, Strano is the one for you. They allowed a maintenance problem to grow to a structural issue by ignoring my repair requests. STAY AWAY. If you are looking for a property manager who will do whatever it takes to take your money, call Linda and the Strano team. Just be aware, if you have to rent through Strano, hire a good lawyer from the start and a private investigator who can completely document your new house. Here is the short of it... Strano will not fix anything unless you call them, and then they will make every attempt to make you pay for the repairs.
