Message from Stove Come on in. It's very quaint, almost romantic with only 10 tables. The cougar lounge has only 8 seats at the bar and one banqette that holds four so very fun and special. More about Stove a small 32 seat restaurant serving seafood, beef, pork and vegetable dishes. Open 5 days a week from 5 to 9 during the week and 5 to 10 on Friday and Saturday. Open the 1st. Friends and I found a Groupon for Stove online, and each of us purchased one. When we called to make a reservation, Stove informed us that only one Groupon was allowed per table. This seems crazy to me, and was not in the original Groupon. Stove changed their rules, and so I cancelled there reservation on principal. Now I have to call Groupon to get my money back (and so do my friends). Just a big hassle and very disappointing. Stove left a bad taste in my mouth.... and I didn't even eat there.

Small in size HUGE in taste We just got home from Stove in Portsmouth. I had to use my GPS to find it. It's tucked away on Detroit Street. It was deeelicious! We had the Fried Oyster appetizer and the Scallop appetizer. Enough for the 4 of us to split. We each had our own entree; 2 rockfish, 1 tuna, and 1 NY strip. Everyone was pleased.
