The food was good. The hostess ruined It. I was downstairs eating and asked the very pleasant bartender downstairs for a desert menu he apologized and said he didn’t have any downstairs and i said no big deal and went up and asked the hostess for a desert menu. I was early for a group party, and the hostess said they didn't have a reservation. The manager came over and I told him there would be about 50 people in about half an hour, mostly for drinks. I also told him we were going to a concert. In less than 30 minutes, he had the downstairs bar set up with a bartender and was playing music from the artist we were going to see! The hospitality and atmosphere were *incredible*. Everyone had a great time. We'll all be going back to Stout NYC!
Just what we needed and wanted after a long fun filled day! Fantastic experience from the time we were greeted by the hostess. The waitress was completely delightful. The manager was engaging and informative. I look forward to visiting again on my next adventure to NYC!
We were overcharged and the mangers expected us to pay for stuff we didn’t order. The party I was with was kicked a half early for no reason!! Be prepared they won’t split up the bill. I will never go back!!!
Great bar atmosphere. Down by Penn Station. Friendly bartenders. Will be back soon.
I was highly disappointed with the changes they made to the nosh cheese plate. It used to have delicious candied walnuts and honey and a better assortment of cheeses and breads. Now it is pretty basic and nothing to rave about. On the upside, we went there before a show at MSG and were told we would have to wait an hour for a table, when in reality it only took 20 minutes.
