Going to MSG? If you are goint to an event at MSG, you may want to check out Stout. It is right down the street from the main entrance of Penn Station. When the event is a concert, they place the music of that artist. It can get packed, but it is such a huge place (large bar!) that they wait is usually not too long. Good food, drinks, atmosphere.
I love Stout NYC A great meeting place before or after the game. The regulars are irregular but we always have fun. Food is really good and the service is often times good. Great place to meet up on the weekend if you are in town.
If they didn't have karaoke, I wouldn't come back here Well- ive been here twice, both times on a saturday night. First time, a large party. We all ate and everyone thought the food was mediocre at best, dry chicken, tasteless dry burgers, crappy fries. Waitress was m.i.a. for most of evening. Stayed for karaoke. Great Irish Pub With a décor that will transport you to a pub in Ireland, Stout is a beer valley which houses exclusive malts. This high ceilinged bar, sports an extensive beer collection and has varied stouts like dry, imperial, oatmeal and sweet. They have the absolute best fish and chips! Prices are great and the service make you feel right at home.
For the Penn Station Area, Great Choice This is a decent bar a block away from Penn Station. It's huge but if there is an event at MSG it gets packed. They have a pretty nice menu for a bar and things like the personal pizza and the salads are quite good. Beats the Blarney Stone!
great food! I love this place. The food is excellent. Mostly I have had burgers here. You have to order the special dips for the fries. No, they probably aren't good for your heart or waist line, but they have to be good for the soul! The drinks are just fine at average NYC prices. The atmosphere is that of a cute irish pub. This place is usually packed which makes the service spotty but it is worth it!
