RecommendedThe midwives are great! You receive top Notch health care for you and your baby! Along with that you have great support, access, information and a huge support team to help you with your needs! I have had two kids with the midwives and I couldn’t be happier!
I have had 2 amazing deliveries with the midwives. I wish all 3 of my babies were delivered by them, but having had a physician for my first makes me appreciate them that much more! I highly recommend the Stony Brook Midwives!

Can not say enough amazing things. I was skeptical at first to go to a midwife vs a obgyn for my pregnancy. And I am SO glad I went the midwife route. I live 45+ minutes from stony brook and it was worth the drive, every single time. Miss Elizabeth Sullivan was by far my absolute favourite midwife and I was extremely happy that when I first got to the hospital, in active labor, she was there. She’s amazing! Each of the Midwives I worked with from the day I began seeing them in office and to the end of my delivery were nothing short of amazing. Without Joni I would have given up and opted for a C-section but her encouragement and support helped make it happen. I would recommend Stonybrook Midwives to everyone I know. They are truly in it with yours and your baby’s best interest in mind.
Can't say enough about the midwives. Such a caring and supportive group. I recently gave birth and was in the hospital for several days, every Midwife I met with was nothing but supportive and encouraging. When I was fully in labor the extra support through the contractions was so very helpful to get me through. When I finally delivered I had Chris and she was absolutely fantastic. A little over 9 months ago i was induced by Heather. Due to finding a mass in my buddy’s belly. She asked me what i wanted to do and i immediately asked to be induced and she listened to my concerns and made it happen. My Lucas was in NICU for 3 weeks. He is now a giant little boy 100 precentiall in height, and weight! During my delivery heather made me feel calm and in control. She pushed me when i needed and held my hand when i needed. Amazing ! I am blown away by this group of women. My only regret is that I didn’t know about the practice when I delivered my first son but when you know better, you do better and now here I am totally loving the experience working with midwives. In particular, are Elizabeth Sullivan and Kristen Clemmens. Elizabeth is one of the kindest, most compassionate people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and though I don’t see Kristen regularly now, my experiences with her have been pretty amazing too.
