The staff are all so nice. The nurses are so caring and compassionate and always very prompt. The building is also very nice and clean!
I saw Dr Cohen for the first time a few weeks after my final radiation. He asked how I was doing on my medication HE prescribed. 1. This was my FIRST visit with him! 2. Maybe know who’s sitting waiting for cancer care in that room & read their chart! I felt he was condescending & I was just another person filling up a time slot. Needless to say I now go to a different GREAT oncologist not in Stony Brook. However…. The stony Brook Breast Surgeon.. DR BRIAN OHEA…is PHENOMENAL!
After 2 weeks of fighting my health insurance co. They sent me to Stony Brook Cancer Center for my eye tumor. Everyone there was on board to my needs. Everyone also recommended Dr Finger & Dr Francis for this certain eye surgery. They would not let me leave until they took full care of what I needed. I especially have to give a heartfelt Thank You & blessing to an absolute Angel, Gerty Fortune, who phoned me everyday until I had a set appointment with recommended eye specialist. God bless you all for what you do. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

The front desk staff at the cancer center were very nice and professional, the infusion nurses were encouraging and kind, the phlebotomy team are skilled and polite. Dr Burke is the meanest human being I have ever met. I seriously, believe him to qualify as a sociopath.. Michelle Grimaldi RN , his nurse, stood by and observed or was involved in the harassment . They both need to be gone. Dr. Burke gets slapped is a video on line that everyone should watch. Stay away from Burke!!
