Friday January 16, 2026 @ 9:50 am I’ve been a loyal patient at this optometrist for around 6 almost 7 years, which makes this experience especially disappointing. I came in for a routine check-up but found out my insurance would not be active until March of this year. I completely understood that and politely asked to reschedule the appointment. They need to send out reminders to the patients similar to other clinics not everyone can remember the appointment dates. A card can be lost not everyone are tech savvy. Staff needs to stop expecting people to remember and not expecting to pay for forgetting this is a extra money grab pocket for themselves. what do they use that extra 25 fee for? I’ve been going to Stonewire Optometry since I was a teen and always had good experiences before. Recently, I missed an appointment but never received a text reminder. I asked if they could waive the no-show fee, but they said if they did, I wouldn’t be able to book weekend appointments anymore. I was disappointed with how it was handled, especially after being a long-time patient.
