I currently live here and I am beyond disappointed with the response I got regarding the one year builders warranty I should have and the manufacturer warranty I should have for one year on my carpeting. I was told the excessive wear of my carpeting after only 4 and 1/2 months of living here is not covered because this is a high traffic area and this is considered normal wear and tear. DO NOT BUY A HOME WITH DR Horton. Here is why, from the poor craftsmanship of your home, to DR Horton not responding to your warranty claims, to the 3/4 HOA board members who are DR Horton representatives, to the landscaping company not maintaining your yard (they only cut your grass, even though HOA fees are $222 a month). All the sod in the community has the wrong type of grass (unless it's the sales/demo office) causing many residents sod to have multiple dead spots AND uneven surfaces.
