I have been riding for many years and previously boarded at a large hunter/jumper barn before retiring my horse. After moving back to this area, I searched and toured many barns prior to choosing Stonebridge. Upon meeting with the trainer, I immediately knew that Stonebridge was what I was looking for. The owner/trainer is honest, patient, and straightforward. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and immediately made me feel like I belonged. Although I have been riding for quite a while, after just my first lesson at Stonebridge,... read more

I have been riding at Stonebrige for about six months now and I cant say enough about the experience I have had. I havent ridden for about twenty years and honestly didnt know the first thing about tacking a horse, grooming, behavior of horses and I could go on and on. Needless to say I am a novice. However, I have learned so much about horses and have had such an incredible experience I feel like I have crammed years of riding into the past six months. The staff has been incredibly patient, understanding and helpful. I have... read more

This facility has a fantastic lesson program! They have instructors available every day of the week and you dont need your own horse to ride! They provide excellent care to all the horses on the farm. You wont find another place that has horses that are as kind and sweet as these guys are! The farm has both an indoor and outdoor arena so you can ride year round! I thought I knew a lot about horses before I started riding at Stonebridge, but I was wrong! They are knowledgable in all areas and willing to share everything they ... read more

The only thing big about this place is the owner/trainers ego. You have to be willing to admit you know nothing about anything and tout that you learned everything you know about horses here. Not many people are willing to do that, but she manages to find a few. How well cared for can horses be when she is advertising 16 (according to the website) of them living on that teeny little place? Grass pastures? The whole place isnt even as big as one decent sized pasture. And BIG no-no, hay storage is in the barn loft above the st... read more

Stonebridge Equestrian Center may not be fancy, but it is the best place Ive ever been for riding lessons. The head trainer took me places I thought Id never go. I went from a timid, inadequate rider to someone who has the confidence to ride a young horse (and fairly well, I believe). Riders are treated with respect and horses are treated with the best care possible. If you keep your horse there, you know that it is always under the watchful eye of the professionals who work and train for the Center. Ive been around a lot of... read more

I spent two full days out at the barn, watched a lesson and also rode two of the horses used in the lesson program. All horses on the farm were healthy, well fed and happy. An older farm obviously going through some improvements but that does not make it any less safe. It also sits some what close to the road and has a safety perimeter fence to protect the horses if one would somehow get loose. If I lived closer I would absolutely board my horse and take lessons there.

I have been riding at this barn for years! I moved out of state for a few years, but the friendships I have made at this barn were lasting friendships, and when I came back three years later, it was like I had never left. My riding has drastically improved over the years because of the excellent trainers at the facility. I have seen so many riders grow and do things they thought they would never do as a rider. I know my horse is always well cared for. They are fat, sassy, and in great health. The owner sends me ocassional up... read more
