Hey Chris Ryan, since you won't return my phone calls I hope somebody that works for you might see this. My experience with you on a recent rental property has been at best completely un professional ( there are many other words that would work here). Are you that hard up that you need to collect application fees for a rental when you know that the property is going to be sold outright? We had a very disappointing experience with this property management company. They required us to submit an application and ran our credit before we could view the property because we were told we needed to "prequalify." After our credit had already been run, we were then told our income documents hadn't even been reviewed yet and wouldn't be looked at until after we saw the house. Chris (Stone Creek Management) advocated for myself and my boyfriend up until the end when we were discriminated against by the actual property owner. Chris kept us in the loop and stood up for what was right. My boyfriend and I are very appreciative of him and his moral compass. He also seems very knowledgeable about CA laws and rights when it comes to real estate. If I ever put a home up for rent, I'd hope to have him.
Stone Creek was overly strict in screening me for a lease. I passed their screen but I had to provide my retirement accounts. I had a stroke in May 2023 and obtained temporary rental assistance from tje Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA) but Stone Creek refused the assisrance ans SHRA caved in. During my 5 year stay at the property I experienced neglect in maintenance and repairs, resolving mold issues. They failed to return my security deposit after leading me on for months.
Terrible management. Stone creek does not care about their tenants and it shows. Communication is nonexistent — they ignore you until it’s convenient for them, and when you finally get a response it’s rude or misleading. They treat people with zero respect. I would never recommend renting here.
