Received my new bed frame to replace the old an worn out wooden rails & slats on our antique bed, it fit as advertised an took about five minutes to have it ready for the box springs and mattress. I bought a new mattress and box spring from a local store. The salesman had asked about the supports in my wooden bed, and we believed what we had was sufficient. Unfortunately, the delivery man disagreed, once he removed the old mattress and he described what we needed. My mattress store did not sell it. He recommended another store. My search for a bedframe (that would allow for a boxspring) eventually led me to STL beds. I was appalled at other brand's frames with low weight limits, like 500 lbs. Mattress and boxspring is 200 lbs alone and for me and my husband at a combined weight of 500, those brands would not do. I ordered the K-83 bedframe Monday and was surprised to receive a call shortly after ordering to verify that the K-83 would work.
