I just received a renewal letter from Stiles for a service that I apparently received with the purchase of my new unit. Allowing me only time to get one of the two seasonal maintenance checkups on my new system. It is really crappy that a business makes no attempts to notify someone or inform them that they have this service with the purchase of their new system than a year later send them a renewal bill for $155. in 2014 i had Stiles air and heating replace 2 ac units in my house. down stair first on1/28/14 has a 10 year warranty, on 2/21/14 we had up stair unit replaced same brand same installer an yet come to find out, that unit only has 5 year warranty?????? and guess which one needs an evaporator coil replaced only 6 yrs old. Stiles couldnt answer why one has 10 year warranty and the other only has 5 year warranty. now they want 2 grand to fix the leak.8/11/21 shame on them.

It was Labor Day weekend and I had to call for air conditioner repair. John Murray called me and said he was finishing up someone close to me and then he would be over. He came over in less than 30 minutes after that and did a quick fix for my air conditioner. He was very personable and very helpful in explaining what he was doing. Am very happy with the response I received from John Murray. I rate John Murray 5 Stars.

This has been a two-year hate-hate relationship. First, the system as designed and installed didn't work properly for weeks because the type of themostat that had been used was incompatible with the HVAC unit. (I later was told that ours was the first system designed by the owner's son. I just wish I had been told I was being treated as a guinea pig.) Then came the great filter cleaning debacle. I called them for weekend service and was charged $180.00 for a part you can purchase else where for less than $30.00. They claim they build labor cost into the price of the parts, while they also charge you a service call charge which also has labor cost included. Sound like price gouging to me.

To reiterate some of the negative comments already stated. Stiles service overall is horrible, you cant rely or believe what they tell you. One technician may be good others completely incompetent. We have had a contract for several years and more than once the units have "checked out" in the spring and then a few days later it comes time to turn on the AC and there is a major problem. Installation of a unit in our attic was pathetic and the unit immediately leaked through our ceiling. AVOID

Do not trust this company. Stiles had been servicing my elderly mother's HVAC system for 6 years which we continued even though the service contract was more expensive than other companies. In June we had her system serviced and inspected for the summer as we had tenants moving in two weeks later. In less than 30 minutes the technician said everything looked great. Our tenants moved in two weeks later to find the air was not getting below 80 degrees and called another company to inspect it. They found the coils to be filthy ... read more
