I don't know if I can give Acme my money anymore now that they've booked someone who admitted to sexual assault. I am extremely disappointed. I have been to the club many times and bought the hype that it was the best club in the world. I see now that the owner clearly doesn't care about integrity, he only wants to make a quick buck. This club hardly ever books women as headliners. Some women have been told they're TOO DIRTY to perform there. But Louis CK, who exposed himself to women, in the workplace, which is COMEDY CLUBS... read more

They have questionable ethics that have put many in harm’s way in the past. Their recent booking of a predator and subsequent low-profile promotion of that predatory comedian in order to reduce public outcry from concerned patrons is one of many examples.

Booking Louis CK? Disgusting. Trying to do it quietly with your creepy emails to avoid a scene? Y'all are beyond pathetic.

Louis CK? Why would you hire a known predator. Hopefully you wise up and cancel this. Disgusting.

Louis ck?? Really?? It’s disgusting to see this business choose money over the safety and comfort of women. Don’t do business with predators or their supporters

By choosing to host a sexual predator at your venue, you have made the clear statement that women and victims of this type of harassment and assault are neither welcome or wanted in your audience in general. This is not reflective of the Twin Cities comedy/arts community and is an incredible disappointment to see in 2019. Why not reach out to the survivors of this man's horrid behavior and provide a platform to allow them to continue to grow the careers that he and others worked so hard to stamp out? Do the right thing Acme.

Oh, Acme. One of the top five comedy clubs in the nation. One of my favorite spots. No longer. You have chosen to host a piece of garbage. Literal human garbage. Louis CK. I notice that cell phones and recording devices are not allowed during this event. Perhaps it’s because he doesn’t want anyone recording his jokes, that recently have spanned the extremely creative, wholesome topics of: survivors of the Parkland shooting, gay slurs, and folks who identify as non-binary. Anyone paying money to see this clown should be asham... read more

Acme Comedy Club should not give a serial sexual predator a platform in our community to make light of the harm he caused to his victims. When clubs support Louis C.K., you tell women and survivors that your laughter is more important than their sexual assaults and loss of their careers. FX Networks and Productions, Netflix, The Orchard, and HBO all cut ties with him, and his gigs have been met with considerable protest. Acme Comedy, you can do better.
