I wish there was a higher rating available as Dr.Hughes deserves more than 5 stars. I originally saw him for a second opinion consult and in that first visit the level care, kindness, and expertise he displayed was such a stark contrast from the physician I was seeing that I switched immediately. Dr. Hughes has been my trusted surgeon for 13 years. Previously, Dr. Hughes performed 2 very successful microdiscectomy surgeries on my lumbar spine. I went from not being able to sleep, walk, or perform everyday activities to enjoying an active lifestyle again. It’s been over 10 years and my lower back has felt amazing! Dr Steven Hughes is an honest, exceptional and a gifted doctor. My father had a pinched nerve in his lower back. Due to that, he couldn't stand for longer than 10 mins before all of his lower body started to get numb and painful. After Dr Stephen performed the surgery, most of the numbness/pain has gone away. Only area where it didn't completely go away are his feet. But even that is better than before. He can stand and walk as long as he wants.
