Dr. Steven R. Kassman replaced my left hip on July 11, 2024 when I was 65. New joint came with a bonus staphylococcus capitis infection! Apparently, there is a 1% chance of infection with surgery. What makes this even worse, is that I paid about $40,000 Canadian to get my hip replaced instead of waiting for 2 years. LUCKY ME! Since then, I have had 2 more left hip surgeries back home in Canada, and I did not have to pay. Last surgery, on December 12, 2025, was to install a temporary, antibiotic infused joint called a spacer.... read more
