My mother was going to Dr. Houston at St. Thomas in Nashville for years. The drive was getting hard for my mother so we asked Dr. Houston to recommend someone in Murfreesboro which turned out to be Dr. Steven Payne. That was over 30 years ago & what a great recommendation that turned out to be. Dr. Payne is such a compassionate, friendly & considerate person. Treated my mother ever so good. I hate to have to write this review but I feel people need to know. I wish I had known before taking my parents to him. Dr. Payne seems to not have the empathy to be a good doctor. He's course and rude, with no bedside manner whatsoever. The first time I took my dad there, he completely ignored me, didn't introduce himself or look at me, which was a red flag and very odd, I thought.
