I am a 72 year old woman who just spent 5 days in Doctors Hospital and this was the finest experience I've had in a hospital. I have been to many in central Ohio as I have had numerous surgeries on my back and several bouts with pneumonia. Well this time I had pneumonia and heart problems and I felt so cared for. My91 year old mother was sent to MGH for a fall on November 19, 2026 at 4:30 pm from her assisted living in Kenton 30 minutes away. The staff was kind and efficient and had all tests done quickly until she needed a transport home. She was discharged at 7:30 but the transport eta was 11:00 pm. I asked them to call a transport from Kenton. They refused. She said it had to be a private transport and Kenton didn't have any. It isn't just this hospital and it won't be the last hospital. I am a patient at Mt Carmel. Not by choice that's what the insurance covers at 100 %. I normally love Ohio Health the staff the communication it all goes so well. I had my son there 12 years ago. Way better experience than I had at Mt Carmel having my daughter in 2010. In Dec 2024 my pcp through Mt Carmel noted that my thyroid was 4.7 cm and sent me for thyroid testing. If you don't have a freshly avulsed limb or organs outside of your body they aren't going to look past the initial x ray or bloodwork for answers. They get really defensive when you ask why they won't look any further. Might as well go to the school nurse, at least you're not expecting much to be done past a band aid and a nose wipe.

My experience with getting my MRI results to check for a tear in my foot because of plantar fascitis has been extremely frustrating and dissatisfying. I had two MRIs for the same problem. My first MRI was on 10/13 and results were received within 24-48 hours. However, because of a technician misunderstanding, the prominent area where my foot pain existed was not subject to the MRI. Went there today because my leg was in pain. They did xrays and gave me a ibropherean then 20 min later they give me discharge papers without telling me my results of the XRAYS. This not the first time they dismissed my family. My son went there and was dismissed later that night would be the last time i seen my son alive. One mth later he passed away at nationwide childrens hospital for a cyst on the brain which caused a stroke and seizure. This could of been avoided if they did test and A MRI.. Wife was in ICU. By far, the best hospital we have experienced. Hit the nurse button, and two nurses responded in 30 seconds. Highly recommend.
