Recently had a hernia repair by Dr. Mong I was unconscious when they discovered it. My wife specifically told him not to use mash in my body, but once I was awake, he used it anyway violating the most sacred trust between the doctor and patient violating my body violating my personal wishes when I got home for the first four days of this operation. As the wife of a veteran, I feel compelled to share our experience in hopes of protecting other veterans and their families from the devastating consequences of unethical medical care. In June 2022, my husband underwent a hernia repair at the Fort Wayne VA due to deterioration from a 1998 surgery. Afterward, he experienced severe, constant pain, numbness, and physical decline. He is a really great surgeon. He is really nice and not in a rush. He will explain everything to you. He operated on my brother when no one would. Highly recommend.
My family and I were very pleased to have been recommended by the I U Health traumas team with methodist Hospital. It took time and patience but at the end Dr. Mong did what he said what he was going to do. I’m still in hospital recovering but as soon as I get out, I will have before and after pictures to post so just be patient and once you see what he has done.
