I could not be happier with the experience that I had with Dr. Beanes, for a hernia surgery. From the initial consultation, to the actual surgery (including pre-op and post-op), to the follow-up examination, my expectations were entirely met and even exceeded. The explanation from Dr. Beanes was thorough, and his expertise allowed me to be able to resume most all activities well before the original suggestion of 4-6 weeks.
Outstanding surgeon. Dr. Beanes performed laparoscopic repair of my bilateral inguinal hernias using the mesh placement method. The pre-op exam and post-op experience were both excellent and the surgery itself was a piece of cake with only mild discomfort for a couple of days. The doctor and his staff are friendly, knowledgeable and put you at ease.
I was more than satisfied with the treatment I received from Dr Beanes regarding my hernia. Both the pre-surgery and post-surgery experience was excellent. I liked their follow-ups too. There were no problems when I had to reschedule the date of the procedure thanks to the super-friendly and efficient staff at his 510 Superior Avenue offices and at the Newport Plaza Surgical Center.

I saw Dr Beanes, after a friend's recommendation, and could not have been more satisfied. I ended up having surgery with him. Dr Beanes and his staff were very friendly, informative, professional and overall great! He and his staff answered all my concerns and questions, his surgery scheduling actually answered the phone!, his nursing staff is friendly and helpful. Dr Beanes took time with me & explained things so that I could understand. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone!
This guy is a butcher. I had a simple procedure done to repair a hernia and never healed from the surgery. Turns out he didn't use a large enough piece of mess so the hernia just bulged out around it. So I had to go through a second procedure (with another doctor) to correct his shoddy work. The only thing worse is his staff and the only thing worse than them is Newport Plaza Surgical Center. Hoag is all about making money. Do your research ahead of time.
I had a ventral hernia repair performed by Dr. Beanes. He diagnosed my hernia based on his 20 years experience. Dr Beanes' explanation of the procedure was full and complete. The day of the surgery, he again explained what I should expect post-op and the recovery period thereafter. I visited him today for my 2 week follow-up visit was again pleased. Dr. Beanes has a wondderful "bed side manner." I would recommend him to a family member and/or friend.
I needed to have a deep lipoma removed from my back and was referred to Dr. Beanes by my primary physician. My experience with him and his staff was wonderful. He took plenty of time in my post op appt as well as following up with me after the procedure with test results and ensuring that my wound was healing properly. The office ran in a very timely manner and his care and bed side manner put me at ease throughout the entire process.
