I spoke with Steve back in late 2021 about purchasing a house. I realized I was not ready at that time so we put it on hold. At the end of 2022, we decided it was time to get our "farm" in the country and I reached back out to Steve and the mortgage broker I spoke with in 2021. Steve worked as my agent in purchasing a terrific property in Placerville. In many ways it was a ridiculously difficult transaction; my desire for VA loan, out-of-state sellers, seriously entrenched renters who kept missing deadlines to clear out, recent wildfires making insurance companies skittish, etc. Despite it all, Steve navigated through it all, keeping me informed as to reasonable expectations while also keeping my spirits up at the times collapse seemed imminent.
