The main reason for the overall negative review is the billing. My bills were consistently incorrect for over a year. I attempted to resolve the matter with multiple receptionists and billing people there (including his wife that works there). Unfortunately, I had to finally go to my dental insurance company to get Dr. Ballis to refund me the money that he overcharged. His Hygenist Debbie is the reason I go back. When he performed the onlay, it required a number of touch-ups to make my bite fit properly. 3 years later the onlay fell out and now I'm mid-crown with a pain in my mouth. The drilling went well, but the temporary crown didn't stick (possibly due to adjustments after the temporary was cemented). He gladly re-cemented the temporary without an appointment, but my gums are suffering (as it is the day after right now).
Dr. Ballis is a great dentist however his insurance billing staff needs to be replaced. I paid cash for my part of the services and they kept duplicating the billing for some reason. They did finally resolve the issue but just the hassle to keep calling them to correct their error was time consuming. The receptionist was very friendly.
The Doctor and Staff are great. I was afraid of dentists and the related pain but now I have no problem calling to set up an appointment. After some general dentistry work, Dr. Ballis started restoring my smile. The first series of 4 teeth have been great. Decided to stage the change over time and pay cash as I go instead of borrowing to complete in one set of visits. Starting to second guess my frugality over my vanity because the results are outstanding.
I am new to the area and needed a new dentist so I tried Dr. Ballis. He filled a cavity and fixed some chipping/grinding on 2 of my incisors. The material he used wore away after 1 day and I had to return so he could fix it. Then his staff screwed up my billing. They over charged me by $280, then screwed up the insurance info so I didn't get a refund. Friendly and helpful office staff. Doctor took time ro answer all questions and explain course of treatment. They will assist with insurance claims and financing. great bedside manners and friendly staff.
I have been going for about 3 years or so. The staff and Dr. Ballis have always been friendly & thorough. I believe the prices are in line with those found anywhere else. I would recommend this office.
I had a very difficult time communicating with Dr. Ballis and his staff. Overbooking seems to be an issue and wait time is long. Dental treatment is above average.
Both Dr. Ballis and his staff are friendly, kind and put nervous patients at ease.
