I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and recently began experiencing bleeding. With a history that includes a stillbirth a few years ago and a miscarriage this past March, I knew something wasn’t right. I spent an entire day practically begging to be seen by any OB/GYN or midwife in Lexington—including UK’s providers—but was met with silence, dismissal, or a 12.5-week appointment I knew I couldn’t wait for. I explained repeatedly that I believed I was high-risk and was already showing signs of another possible miscarriage. Still,... read more

Been a few since I was there . The two times I was there , it was a good experience. Very polite and professional staff. Dr.Shane Hirst was an absolute treasure.

I truly do not know how Shane Hurst has got this far in her career. She acted like I was ridiculous because I was in extreme pain. I already knew I had cysts and PCOS from another dr, she tried to gaslight me and say it was just a heavy period before I gave her attitude back. But he kept pushing the shot on me and as well as his nurses when it came to birth control, doctors should know more medication, birth control included. Like that the birth control he gave me isn't covered by insurance and would be 100 dollars a month then he prescribed me one that's 300 dollars. Good job on being a insensitive idiot with a medical school degree. The front staff were nice. Won't be g... read more

Extremely cruel. The gyno openly laughed at and made fun of my partner for asking questions, didn't take her pain and discomfort seriously, and accused her of seeking narcotics instead of offering a pain management solution (my partner did NOT ask for narcotics a single time). While I hope this was only one bad experience and that no other women are being subjected to this treatment, my partner is not comfortable returning here.
