Gary Rakes is wonderful. I was skeptical about seeing an allergist, because I didn't just want someone to shoot me up with shots and wisk me out the door. Dr. Rakes really listened, was completely unpretentious, and explained the science of what was happening in an accessible, but detailed way. I was there for two hours on my first visit and a nurse or Dr. Rakes was with me for a good deal of that time. He really took his time talking to me, and I so appreciated his complete attention. Things went okay during my visit, but they could have gone a lot better. I left feeling a little dissatisfied, but not unhappy. I didn't have to wait at all after I arrived for my appointment. They were running right on time, which is a really big deal for me. It was nice to hear how much the staff respected them.
