Dr Falatyn is a very kind and competent doctor who I went to for a second opinion after seeing another egotistical surgeon who was totally rude and basically insulted me as he reviewed my MRI. I felt so much better in talking to Dr Falatyn on telephone consult and explained how much pain I was in and then saw me in office next day. I could not even walk. My experience with Dr.Falatyn and his staff was amazing. He was extremely thorough with his examine and took a great deal of time to explain in detail my diagnosis. We discussed my options in detail and he told me what he thought was best for me and my lifestyle. It was not a cookie cutter diagnosis and recommended procedure which is what I had been given by another surgeon. I was referred by a family member after struggling with back pain that traveled down my right leg into my foot. My first meeting with Dr. Falatyn was very hopeful and he knew exactly the disc that was causing the problem before even looking at any MRI. The surgery went great and 2 weeks post op I can already do things I haven't been able to do in years.
Severe cramping pain in my right Thigh made me unable to work or function. Dr. Falatyn did far lateral discectomy on 5/24 and I had instant relief. The surgery was successful and along with physical therapy I am feeling fantastic and am looking forward to getting back to life.
Dr. Falatyn has been thorough & diligent in responding to my lower back pain. His first review indicated a strong indication that surgery would be required. However, he decided that a regimen of physical therapy followed by an exercise program and appropriate medication should be our first course of action. A follow up visit was just completed which included strength test of feet & legs . His conclusion was very positive that my strength was improved to normal range. I came in to see Dr. Falatyn after several years of back pain and no resolve from previous doctors. He spent several hours with me on first visit and really listened to my issues. He also explained my treatment options. On my follow up we decided surgery was my best option for pain relief. He has given me all the information I needed to feel comfortable with my decision. Dr.Falatyn is very caring and has taken excellent care of me. I am walking today because of the back fusion he performed on me. I would recommend highly Dr. Falatyn.
My experience with Dr. Falatyn was excellent. Upon my first visit he explained everything in detail (herniated disc L5/S1); answered all of my questions (even answered them before I could ask). My pain level was 10 prior to my surgery and now my level is 0. I can't thank him and his team for making this experience a pleasant journey.
Words cannot describe the excellent care that I received from Dr. Falatyn and his staff before, during and after my back operation. Before my operation I was not be able to walk for 5 minutes. Now I can walk 10 miles with no problem. Dr. Falatyn gave me my life back.
