Dr. Michael Clarke is the best! In 2013 I had a total right knee replacement. The knee feels like my own, recovery was fast. Now I am about to schedule a total right hip replacement and have all the confidence in him and that I will be able to resume my usual activities like sailing, power walking, gardening, exercising at the gym without problems. Dr.Clarke is friendly, compassionate and takes time to answer questions and address concerns. I highly recommend him.
He listened, not all dr’s do. Friendly and informative. Explained things well. Was on time. Very nice visit considering the circumstances. Highly recommend
Worse knee pain. I have very mild arthritis but something snapped in my knee. Got the MRI. Clark said he could clean out the cartilage &clean up any tear &it might make my knee better but it wouldn’t make it any worse. Well it’s worse. It’s swollen all the time. The medial compartment of my knee rubs – I can feel the bones rubbing now. I said something to him &he said I didn’t take out too much cartilage -that cartilage can support you but what Clarke really did is accelerate my need for a knee replacement by years. Worst surgeon ever. I awoke to an impingement &he told me my CT scan was normal. Bc my hip wouldn’t bend at all he released the psoas tendon & looked me in the eye & said you wouldn’t lose strength bc I’m just making a couple tiny slits in the tendon but I’ve now 6 surgeons tell me I never should’ve had the tendon release. He saw implant overhang but he never told me to my face. I had to have another surgeon explained to me that on my op report “tented” means my implant is sticking out of my body 10-13mm. Outstanding customer service from the initial phone call that I made to schedule an appointment to the care that I received from the time I entered the practice until I was discharged. Dr. Smart was personable, professional, compassionate and incredibly thorough. The ability to get in to see an orthopedic specialist at SOS is unlike any other practice that I have had experience with. Dr. Izant is such a nice man & wonderful provider. He showed me current & past x-rays … explaining everything in easy to understand detail. I appreciate his honesty … I would 100% recommend him!
Dr. Axelrod replaced my left knee 10 years ago and it changed my life. Did a great job, was polite, did what was expected. Now I'm hoping he will do my right knee!
